What we’re building
From the first questions to preparing for meetings or court, AskSorrel is being designed to help you feel more organised and better prepared.
Ask Sorrel will help explain unfamiliar words, form questions and document passages in plain English, with relevant sources and room for follow-up questions.
Keep your background, documents, financial details and important dates in one workspace. See what you have, what’s missing and what needs your attention.
Prepare supported form drafts, letters, financial summaries and questions for an adviser. Check the details, make changes and choose what to download or share.
Follow your progress with checklists, tasks and reminders. Planned court-order tools will help identify instructions for you to check before confirming deadlines.
Start with your situation
Whether you’re just starting or already partway through, the planned tools will help you pick up from where you are.
Gather application details, prepare supported forms or answers for the official online service, and keep track of the divorce stages.
Bring together assets, debts, income and pensions. Prepare financial information and agreed terms for professional consent-order drafting or review.
Organise financial disclosure, including Form E, and prepare questions, statements and papers for mediation, advice meetings or financial hearings.
Children matter, too
Keep your children’s routines, holidays and practical needs in view. We’re designing tools to help you organise arrangements, prepare parenting-plan drafts and bring questions to conversations or mediation.
A little support.Your case. Your choices.
We’re planning Individual access for private preparation, and optional Joint access for two people who choose to work together — with separate accounts, private notes and deliberate sharing.
You’ll check facts, review drafts and decide what to do next. AskSorrel is being built for organisation and preparation; legal advice and representation will remain separate.
A few things to know
AskSorrel is in development. We haven’t announced a launch date yet. This page introduces what we’re working towards, and we’ll update it as the service takes shape.
People dealing with divorce in England and Wales, whether they’re at the beginning or already have a case underway. The planned journeys cover divorce paperwork, agreed financial settlements and disputed finances, with support for organising children’s arrangements alongside them.
AskSorrel is being designed to explain information and help you organise and prepare. It will not act as your solicitor or represent you in court. Advice on your individual circumstances, professional consent-order drafting or review, and specialist work will need an appropriate professional.
Yes. Individual access is planned so you can work privately without inviting the other person. Optional Joint access is intended for people who both choose to share selected information. Sharing won’t be a requirement.
We’re planning flexible monthly support options, so you can choose the tools you need as your situation develops. Launch pricing and what’s included will be confirmed before subscriptions open. Court fees and professional services will be separate.
You can browse our guidance library for official sources and explanations of common terms. For official information now, visit GOV.UK’s divorce guidance, money and property guidance or guidance on children’s arrangements.
